Feature: S&R New York Style Pizza

This place is a diamond in the rough. It’s perfectly done New York Style Pizza that is packed with good, fresh, and tasty ingredients. The flavours are all there, making your taste buds reach their climax.

The quality is evident in every bite–from the crust, to the sauce, and the toppings. S&R Pizza may not be your thing if you like thin, crispy crust, or if you prefer a deep dish pizza, but as far as my experience is concerned, it’s solid eats.

Garlic & Shrimp Pizza

I love their Garlic and Shrimp Pizza! DELICIOUS! The shrimp tasted fresh and the pizza sauce was rich and garlicky, and the pie was smothered with warm mozzarella cheese. You will not be disappointed and the pizzas are quite large as well so one slice can fill you up easily.

Another favourite item on the menu is the Clam Chowder. S&R’s Clam Chowder completely blindsided me. It was sooooo good! The chowder had the perfect balance of flavour, creaminess, and consistency. The soup was creamy but not too heavy, hearty, and seasoned just right.

There’s a counter to order and another for pick-up. I would say this pizza is worth the wait (20-30 minutes at the very least so go there early) and cost. I wish they open before 11:00AM, though. Definitely beats the flavorless stuff coming out of local chains in the area. Seriously, you can’t go wrong here. Definitely a must-try when you’re in the area.
