Shakeaway, a popular Milkshake brand in the UK and dubbed as “The World’s Largest Milkshake Bar” has finally landed in Manila and opened its first flagship store on the Ground Floor of the UP Town Center Mall Phase 2.

Last week, I was invited to be part of the Shakeaway Media Launch and got the first dibs on their wide array of shakes, smoothies, and frozen yogurts.

Indeed they are the World’s Largest Milkshake Bar with over 180 ingredients to create millions of Milkshake flavour combinations for everyone to enjoy. So yes, it’s true when they say that ‘You could live forever and never have the same Milkshake twice!’.

Jose, Kai, & Mike Milkshakes

During the launch, we sampled some of their ‘World Famous-Named Shakes’ such as Casey, Dave, Kai, and Jose. Their Milkshakes were not too thick, not too thin; literally, the perfect consistency. I also loved that they’ve created Jose–a Milkshake that is exclusive to the Philippines. It had Ube, Macapuno, and Pinipig on top. The fact that they were able to really bring all these local flavours together was impressive. It was creamy, rich, tasty, and oh-so-decadent. It’s my favourite of the bunch and in my opinion, one of the best Milkshakes I’ve had in a long time.

Fair warning though, don’t come here and expect fast food prices or you’ll be disappointed. Shakeaway gets all the hype because they use quality ingredients–no syrups and certainly no powders.

Whether you choose Fruity, Cakey, Biscuity, Chocolatey, or the World Famous-Named Milkshakes, you can’t go wrong here. Filipinos have been indulging in Milkshakes for as long as I can remember, (often breaking diets), and Shakeaway guarantees to always satisfy cravings and make each sip well worth the few extra calories.
