Feature: Sear Steak Scullery

Sear Steak Scullery is the latest venture of the Red Baron Group and is now up and running in its new location at 238 Center, Banawe, Q.C. My friends and I were invited here for lunch and we truly had a wonderful time.

The menu was simple but very extensive. First, we had the mushroom soup and bread with cilantro butter. Both were excellent meal starters and the fact that they’re on the house was just amazing.

We then moved to sampling the different steak offerings on the menu: Australian Rib-Eye (250g) served on a sizzling iron plate, the US Striploin Steak, Classic T-Bone, and Hida Wagyu.

Hida Wagyu

The USDA Angus Rib-Eye was a fantastic piece of meat; Tender, full of bold, meaty flavours, and clearly the crowd’s favourite. It comes with either mashed potato or rice, french beans and corn, soup, and soft serve ice cream. For Php1499**, I thought it’s truly value for money.

US Striploin Steak

The sausages were a close second favourite for me! The spices used in these links were very carefully thought out, obviously. A tad spicy, but more savoury. The Halibut was just okay. I find it a little dry, perhaps because it was cooked a little too long.

Aside from the steaks, we also got to try their Milkshakes! (or what I like to call, Milkshake on steroids). The milkshakes were just too pretty too eat but if you have a sweet tooth like me, these are perfect for you! Make sure you try Peanut-Brownie, Salted Caramel Pretzel, and Ube, just because it’s purple. 😉

The service was good, plenty of servers came by with an assortment of meats to try. My water was filled frequently and they always made sure everything was okay. When you have good food and leave a restaurant full, you know they did their job.
